Beginners - Intermediate Courses (A1-B2)
Sicher Academy works accordingly with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR) for our German language courses in Nigeria. This levels include A1, A2, B1, B2. Beginners will start with the A1 course, but a written grading test as well as a short oral test will be taken online for students who have completed a course previously to allows us assign such students into classes according to the “Common European Framework of Reference for languages” (CEFR) levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2.
The groups are not closed. This means it is possible to change classes (and therefore levels) within 2 weeks of stay(if a place is available in the higher or lower class). The teacher or the student may request a change of level. In either case, the procedure to follow is to speak to the Director.
Please note: In case a standard or intensive group course has less than 3 participants, we reserve the right to reduce the class length for the standard course from 10 weeks to 6 weeks.
A1
Beginner's

By learning elementary language structures, you will be able to cope with simple everyday situations.

Able to introduce yourself and other persons, understand and use familiar everyday expressions to express basic needs and activities in a single sentence.

A1 is necessary for Family Reunion, Au Pair and Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)
B1
Intermediate I

Through an increase in grammar and vocabulary, you will be able to deal with everyday and professional situations and formulate simple texts.

Participate in simple conversations about daily activities, talk about ideas, wishes, goals, giving short explanations.

B1 is essential for work or studies in Germany. (can be accepted for a vocational training in Germany - Ausbildung)
A2
Elementary

An extension of elementary vocabulary and grammar will enable you to understand texts in everyday language and lead simple dialogues.

Can make, understand sentences and common expression and therefore exchange informations on familiar and common topics aboutyour person and environment

A2 is deemed necessary for any intension to study or work(Skilled Immigration Act) in Germany
B2
Intermediate II

A deepening of vocabulary and grammatical structures will enable you to understand difficult texts and discuss them.

Understand a variety of sophisticated texts in depth. Conduct conversations with ease and fluency when it comes to content, vocabulary and grammar in the environment

B2 is essential for studies and work - Vocational training(Ausbildung) Voluntary services (FSj or BFD)
German classes in small groups
The group size is important for the success of a language course. We consciously divide students into small groups so you have no chance to sink in the crowd. Each lesson gives you the opportunity to speak German. This is an important way to learn the language quickly. In addition, there is little danger that you choose another student as the wrong language model.

Standard German Course
Standard German courses offers extensive program over a 10 week period, an ideal model for persons with moderate schedules. Courses are designed to build your language skills in a structured and efficient manner, allowing you to slowly progress your understanding of the language.
Intensive German Course
Intensive courses remain the perfect option for students who desire to learn German in a short period of time. It is offered for 6 weeks, with intensive lessons and classwork, it is ideal for persons with a good learning pace. This course helps you archieve your language goals in a short time
